Podere Marella

A pioneer in Italian organic wine making, Podere Marella is located in the midst of vineyards, olive trees and mature oak woodland on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, in the Lake Trasimeno area. Fiammetta Inga, mother of the current owner, moved to Podere Marella in 1974 and turned to organic wine making shortly thereafter, setting up one of the first Italian organic wineries. Forty years on, the estate still produces high quality red, white and rosé Umbria IGT and Trasimeno DOC wines.
